Canelo-GGG: Undercard Finalized

JoJo Diaz Jr., Diego De La Hoya, and Ryan Martin are going to fight for on the Canelo-GGG undercard.

This upcoming September 16, Canelo Alvarez against Gennady Golovkin has ironed out its entire televised undercard.

Joseph ‘JoJo’ Diaz with a record of 24-0, 13 KOs fighting against Jorge “Pilon” Lara with a record of 29-0-2, 21 KOs in a 12-round WBC title eliminator, and will be the co main event of the Canelo-GGG fight.

Diaz said, “It’s a dream come true to be fighting in the co-main event of the Canelo vs Golovkin card. I finally get the opportunity to fight for a title eliminator! I’ve been waiting my whole life to become a world champion. On September 16, I’m going to give it everything I got, for all my fans out there.

Meanwhile, Lara said, “I haven’t seen too much of Diaz, but I know that he’s a tough opponent. I also know that he participated in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. More than anything else, I know that we have to give a great fight, and I hope that he punches and brawls.”

The former IBF bantamweight champion Randy “El Matador” Caballero will also be featured on the undercard and will fight Oscar De La Hoya’s nephew, Diego De La Hoya, in a scheduled 10-rounder for Caballero’s NABF super bantamweight title.

Diego De La Hoya said, “I’m very motivated and excited for another great opportunity on the biggest boxing event in some time.
